ABOUT US

High Hopes Therapy Services provides high quality pediatric therapy with a child-centered, family friendly approach. We are a team of therapists who truly LOVE what we do, and we are passionate about helping children and their families reach their goals.  We strive for excellence and skill with each treatment delivery while keeping sessions fresh and fun for the child.  It is our greatest pleasure to impact the lives of children and their families for the better, and we hope our clients feel truly at "home" when working with us. This is so much more than a "profession" to all of us at High Hopes ... it is "personal" to us each and every day.

High Hopes Therapy Services began as the dream of Rebecca Stonitsch while working as an independent provider in the homes of her clients.  She envisioned a multidisciplinary space with a holistic and family-friendly treatment approach to better serve families in her community and the surrounding areas. Although she values Early Intervention and the many benefits of treating a child in their natural environment, the need for a clinic space became evident over the years. After collaborating with a valued colleague, she co-owned and operated a successful pediatric clinic in the Coal City area for three and half years. In June of 2018, she was able to bring her clinic and treatment approach closer to her own home and community in the Shorewood, IL area.

High Hopes is not a franchise. High Hopes is the definition of "small business" where there is an emphasis on both excellence and a unique personal touch. We treat our clients and families like ... FAMILY!

Rebecca Stonitsch, MS, PT (Owner)

Rebecca grew up close to the Shorewood area in Mokena, IL. She graduated as valedictorian from Lincoln-Way High School before heading to the University of Indianapolis. Rebecca graduated summa cum laude with an undergraduate degree in Human Biology and went on to receive a Master of Science Degree from the University of Indianapolis's Krannert School of Physical Therapy in 1997. She has served as adjunct faculty in the Physical Therapy Assistant Program at College of DuPage and traveled internationally to Russia to provide training on Early Intervention and sensory integration to orphanage staff, therapists, and teachers.

Rebecca has always been passionate about serving children and their families and partnering with them to achieve their goals. As a mother of three herself, she understands what a privilege it is to be entrusted with the care of someone else's child. Each child on her caseload is treated as her very own.

Rebecca has experience with a vast array of pediatric conditions and has invested significantly in continuing education to expand her skills, techniques, and knowledge base over the past 20+ years. Her "bag of tricks" includes everything from NDT principles, kinesiology taping, integrated listening systems, techniques for the vestibular system, gait training and analysis, correction of toe-walking, orthotic bracing, the Floor Time approach, and sensory integration. She believes in providing quality care for children with lasting benefits, and she does not compromise for short-term results.
